Schwere Zeiten für Kritiker des politischen Islam. Wer Zwangsheirat und Kopftuchzwang in muslimischen Familien ablehnt, sieht sich gerne dem Vorwurf der „Islamophobie“ und des „antimuslimischen Rassismus“ ausgesetzt. In dem Vortrag geht es um Fragen wie:
Warum wird einerseits säkulare, emanzipatorische Kritik an islamisch begründeten Unterdrückungsstrukturen und Menschenrechtsverletzungen tabuisiert und auf der anderen Seite der Blick auf ordinären Rassismus und ordinäre Fremdenfeindlichkeit, die sich auch, aber nicht nur gegen Muslime richten, durch deren Umdefinition zum "antimuslimischen Rassismus" vernebelt?

Ist der Islam mit der Aufklärung – zum Beispiel den individuellen Freiheitsrechten – vereinbar? Gibt es einen eigenständigen islamischen Antisemitismus?

In der anschließenden Diskussion soll der Unterschied zwischen linker, aufgeklärter Islamkritik und rechtspopulistischer Moslemfeindschaft na?her beleuchtet und überlegt werden, wie den massiver werdenden Versuchen, Kritiker mundtot zu machen, begegnet werden kann.

Thematisiert wird auch die oft unterschlagene Tatsache, dass der Islam in der äußersten Rechten mehr Freunde als Feinde hat.

Der Referent arbeitet mit im Kompetenzzentrum Islamismus der Aktion 3.Welt Saar. Dort werden Know-how gebündelt, Veranstaltungen organisiert, Initiativen vernetzt und Expertisen veröffentlicht wie zum Beispiel die vierseitige Flugschrift "Bye bye Multikulti – es lebe Multikulti" (Auflage: 100.000)

Er schreibt u.a. in der „Konkret“,der „Jungle World“ und in der Quartalszeitschrift "Materialien und Informationen zur Zeit" (MIZ) aus dem Alibri-Verlag. MIZ ist seit über 30 Jahren das politische Magazin für Konfessionslose und AtheistInnen, FreidenkerInnen, HumanistInnen und SkeptikerInnen, Ungläubige aller Art.

Die Veranstaltung findet statt im Rahmen des Projektes „Islamismus zurückdrängen – Menschenrechte wahren“ der Aktion 3.Welt Saar. Dieses Projekt wird aus Mitteln des Europäischen Flüchtlingsfonds kofinanziert.
