"Bei der Beantwortung einer aktuellen parlamentarischen Anfrage nennt das saarländische Umweltministerium falsche Fakten. Entgegen seiner Aussage hat es 2010 einen entwicklungspolitischen Förderantrag der Aktion 3.Welt Saar gegeben,"  so Hans Wolf vom Vorstand der Aktion 3.Welt Saar. In einer Antwort auf die Anfrage der Fraktion "Die Linke" zum Thema "Förderung von Projekten im Bereich der Entwicklungshilfe" behauptet das Umweltministerium jetzt wahrheitswidrig, es hätte im Jahr 2010 keine Förderanträge zur entwicklungspolitischen Bildungsarbeit gegeben, die abgelehnt worden seien.

Die Frage und Antwort lauten im O-Ton: "Welche Anträge wurden abgelehnt und was waren die Gründe für die Ablehnung?  Seitens der Ministerien für Wirtschaft und Wissenschaft sowie Umwelt, Energie und Verkehr wurden im Jahr 2010 keine Anträge zur Förderung entwicklungspolitischer Vorhaben abgelehnt"; siehe Seite 4 der  Drucksache 14/373 (14/333) / 06.01.2011:  http://www.landtag-saar.de/aboservice/getpdf.php?id=3834

Die Aktion 3.Welt Saar hatte am 18. März 2010 einen umfassenden Antrag zur Förderung ihrer entwicklungspolitischen Bildungs- und Vernetzungsarbeit gestellt. Dieser wurde nach sechsmonatiger Prüfung am 1. September 2010 abgelehnt. Unterschrieben ist die Ablehnung von der Umweltministerin Simone Peter. Das Antragspaket zur entwicklungspolitischen Bildungsarbeit enthielt Projektvorschläge zu nachhaltigem Konsum, Globalem Lernen, einer ökologischen Änderung des Verbraucherverhaltens und einer regionalen Kreislaufwirtschaft. Der Antrag stellt ausdrücklich den Bezug her zwischen der Lebensweise in der 1. Welt und dem Hunger in der 3.Welt. Bezug genommen wird auf die Vorschläge des Weltagrarberichtes, der eine weltweite Präferenz von bäuerlicher Landwirtschaft vorschlägt. Thematisiert werden sollten auch die Auswirkungen der industrialisierten Landwirtschaft auf die 3. Welt hinsichtlich des Anbaus von Futtermitteln statt Lebensmitteln für die Ernährung der einheimischen Bevölkerung.

"Die Ablehnung selbst ist schon irritierend. Nicht nachvollziehbar finde ich es, wenn dann noch behauptet wird, es hätte keinen Antrag gegeben", so Hans Wolf. Im Saarland gibt es mit der Aktion 3.Welt Saar und dem Netzwerk Entwicklungspolitik zwei landesweite Einrichtungen, die im Bereich der entwicklungspolitischen Bildungsarbeit vernetzen. Die Situation ist vergleichbar mit der Arbeit des BUND und NABU im Naturschutzbereich.
