Grußwort von Hans Wolf (Vorstandsmitglied der Aktion 3.Welt Saar)

Liebe Freundinnen und Freunde von attac Saar,

so schnell vergeht die Zeit. Kaum gegründet, schon feiert man das 10-jährige Jubiläum und gehört zum Establishment.

Dass für einige von Euch unsere Veranstaltung mit José Bové im Juni 2001 in der Saarbrücker Johanneskirche mit der Anstoß war, Attac Saar zu gründen, freut uns natürlich.

Wir haben in den vergangenen Jahren oft mit Euch kooperiert und meistens hat das auch sehr gut funktioniert. Und so wollen wir auch weiter machen. Für die nahe Zukunft haben wir auch zwei gemeinsame Veranstaltungen geplant: Einmal zum Wahnsinn der offiziellen Landwirtschaftspolitik und dann zur oft selbstgefälligen Geschäftigkeit des Fairen Handels, der ja eigentlich eine gute Sache ist.

In besonders guter Erinnerung ist uns Euer Verhalten 2004, als wir beim Europäischen Sozialforum in Paris angepöbelt und bespuckt und zum Teil aus Veranstaltungen ausgeschlossen wurden. Der Grund: Wir haben es gewagt, uns positiv zum Existenzrecht Israels zu bekennen und den Antisemitismus zu benennen, der in Teilen der globalisierungskritischen Bewegung vorhanden war und ist. Wir wollten damals, abseits von Extremen, einen aufklärerischen Grundkonsens umreißen, was vielen eben nicht gepasst hat. Wir rechnen es Euch sehr hoch an, dass Ihr Euch von den Pöbeleien, an denen auch attac Frankreich nicht unwesentlich beteiligt war, klar und deutlich distanziert habt. Ihr habt Euch damit mit aller Konsequenz gegen das Wegschauen und bewusst dafür entschieden, den Mund aufzumachen. Dafür danken wir Euch.

Wir wünschen Euch alles Gute und für die Zukunft weiterhin die Fähigkeit, mutig voranzugehen, zu reflektieren und nicht jedem Medienhype hinterher zu hecheln. Wir als Aktion 3. Welt Saar werden uns Mühe geben, Euch als verlässlicher Bündnispartner weiterhin zur Seite zu stehen. Und daher laden wir Euch auch jetzt schon ein, uns ein Grußwort zu unserem dreißigjährigen Jubiläum in 2012 zu schreiben. Ein nettes natürlich oder ein aufklärerisches, vielleicht ein freches oder auch einfach eins aus Naturalien. Denn um mit Bertolt Brecht zu schließen: Erst kommt das Fressen, dann die Moral!
