Gemeinsame Erklärung der Aktion 3.Welt Saar und der Arbeitsgemeinschaft Frieden Trier (AGF):

Aktion 3.Welt Saar und Arbeitsgemeinschaft Frieden Trier begrüßen Wiederbelebung der Internationalen Aktionsgemeinschaft gegen das AKW Cattenom

Proteste gegen Bure und Atommüll-Transporte einbeziehen

"Wir begrüßen die Wiederbelebung der 'Internationalen Aktionsgemeinschaft gegen Cattenom' und unterstützen dieses Vorhaben." So kommentiert Gertrud Selzer vom Vorstand der Aktion 3.Welt Saar die aktuelle Diskussion im Dreiländereck. Dieses internationale Netzwerk hatte bereits von 1986 - 1989/90 bestanden. "Seitens der Aktion 3.Welt Saar waren wir damals Gründungsmitglied und haben aktiv mitgearbeitet. Wichtig ist, dass dieses Gremium über Ländergrenzen hinweg arbeitet und parteipolitisch nicht dominiert wird", so Selzer.

Diese Unabhängigkeit war damals entscheidend für den Erfolg der Aktionsgemeinschaft, der darin bestand, das Bewusstsein über die Gefahren von Cattenom nachhaltig und vor allem grenzübergreifend in der Öffentlichkeit verankert zu haben. Besonders bemerkenswert war die große Demonstration in Sichtweite des Bauplatzes der vier Atommeiler von Cattenom im Sommer 1986 in dem gegenüberliegenden Ort Koenigsmacker. Nachdem die französische Seite jahrelang die Grenzen für deutsche und luxemburgische Atomkraftgegner/innen geschlossen hatte, musste sie sie an diesem Tag auf Grund des massiven öffentlichen Drucks öffnen.

"Für den Erfolg der Neugründung der Internationalen Aktionsgemeinschaft wird aus meiner Sicht letztlich entscheidend sein, die Erfahrungen der 'alten' Anti-AKW Bewegung mit denen der 'neuen' Anti-AKW Bewegung zusammen zu bringen ohne Bevormundung durch Parteien", so Markus Pflüger von der Arbeitsgemeinschaft Frieden Trier. "Zwei zentrale Anliegen der neuen Anti-AKW Bewegung im Dreiländereck sind der Protest gegen das im lothringischen Bure geplante Atommüll-Endlager sowie die Atomtransporte durch die Region", so Pflüger, der sich auch im Anti-Atom-Netz Trier und in Bure engagiert. Dieser Protest müsste integraler Bestandteil des neuen Netzwerkes sein.
