Zur aktuellen E10-Diskussion: Agrotreibstoffe sind weder fair noch ökologisch und verstärken das Hungerproblem weltweit. Flugschrift der Aktion 3.Welt Saar führt in die Diskussion ein.

"Der Treibstoff E10 ist weder sonderlich ökologisch noch C0² neutral. Im Gegenteil, weltweit heizt er den Run auf fruchtbares Ackerland an und verschärft das Hungerproblem."  So kommentiert Ingrid Röder von der Aktion 3.Welt Saar die aktuelle E10 Diskussion. Sie ist Autorin der von der Aktion 3.Welt Saar publizierten Flugschrift "Agrotreibstoffe weder öko noch fair - Warum Energie dezentral produziert werden soll". Die vierseitige Publikation bietet eine knappe Einführung in die Thematik und eignet sich zum Einsatz in der (außer-) schulischen Bildungsarbeit. "Heute wird in der 3. Welt bestes Ackerland für den Energiehunger in der 1. Welt in Beschlag genommen. Die Euphorie um die Energiepflanzen wird begleitet von einem "Weiter so" anstatt Schritte zu einem Umdenken in Richtung Energiesparen und kleineren Autos einzuleiten", so Ingrid Röder.

Die Lösung scheint einfach: Nachwachsende pflanzliche Rohstoffe wie Palm-, Soja- und Rapsöl sowie Ethanol sollen das Energieproblem lösen und langfristig Erdöl ersetzen.
