Zur Ausstellung "Die 3.Welt im 2.Weltkrieg", die gemeinsam von der Stiftung Demokratie Saarland, der Aktion 3.Welt Saar und der Heinrich Böll bis 31. März in Saarbrücken präsentiert wird, startet jetzt das umfangreiche Begleitprogramm. Ziel ist es, ein differenziertes Bild von der 3.Welt im 2.Welkrieg zu vermitteln: Es gab Millionen Soldaten, die für die Befreiung vom Nationalsozialismus kämpften, verwüstete Regionenin der 3.Welt aber es gab auch Kollaborateure mit den Nazis. Die Ausstellung wird in der Stiftung Demokratie Saarland gezeigt (Saarbrücken, Bismarckstr.99, Mo-Do 9-16 Uhr, Fr 9-14 Uhr).

"Die Kolonialpläne der Nazis" heißt der Vortrag von Birgit Morgenrath vom Rheinischen JournalistINNenbüro Köln. Sie referiert am Mittwoch, dem 16. Februar, 18 Uhr, in der Stiftung Demokratie Saarland, Der Eintritt ist frei. Nach dem Ersten Weltkrieg musste das Deutsche Reich "seine" Kolonien an die Siegermächte abtreten. Doch schon 1933 richtete die NSDAP wieder ein Kolonialpolitisches Amt (KPA) ein, um die Verwaltung
eines "germanischen Kolonialreichs" in Afrika vorzubereiten; von der Atlantikküste im Westen bis zum Indischen Ozean im Osten des Kontinents. Seine Eroberung gehörte zu den Kriegszielen der Nazis und sollte nach der Unterjochung Osteuropas erfolgen. Auch der in Saarlouis geborene Kolonialmilitär Paul von Lettow-Vorbeck setzte sich in der NS-Zeit massiv für die Rückeroberung der ehemaligen deutschen Kolonien ein.

"Indigènes (Tage des Ruhms)" heißt der beeindruckende Film des algerischen Regisseurs Rachid Bouchareb. Er läuft am Donnerstag, 17. Februar, 20 Uhr,im Filmhaus Saarbrücken, Mainzerstraße 8 (Algerien/Marokko/Frankreich/<wbr></wbr>Belgien 2006; franz. /arab. mit dt. UT, 119 Min.) Der algerische Regisseur erzählt die Geschichte von vier
Kolonialsoldaten der französischen Streitkräfte im Zweiten Weltkrieg: Von ihrer Rekrutierung in Nordafrika bis zu ihren Fronteinsätzen gegen die deutsche Wehrmacht in Italien, der Provence und schließlich in einem abgelegenen Dorf im Elsass. Mit großartigen Schauspielern, die beim Filmfestival in Cannes 2007 kollektiv als beste männliche Hauptdarsteller ausgezeichnet wurden, und starken Bildern erinnert dieser Film an die weitgehend vergessene Beteiligung Hunderttausender afrikanischer Soldaten an der Befreiung Europas.
