In Ingelheim sind Flüchtlinge, die nichts verbrochen haben, bis zu 18 Monate in einem Hochsicherheitsknast eingesperrt.

Nach dem Landesaufnahmegesetz dürfen den in Abschiebungshafteinrichtungen untergebrachten Personen, nur „die zum Zwecke des Vollzugs der Abschiebungshaft und zur Aufrechterhaltung von Sicherheit oder Ordnung der Einrichtung erforderlichen Beschränkungen auferlegt werden“.

Ein Hochsicherheitsgefängnis ist hierfür in keiner Weise geeignet.

Zahlreiche Flüchtlinge werden zudem entlassen, nachdem sie anwaltliche Hilfe erhalten haben.

Sie waren zu Unrecht eingesperrt.

Rheinland Pfalz ist ein weltoffenes Land, in dem kein Platz ist für ein Symbol der Abschreckung und Entrechtung.
