Die Aktion 3.Welt Saar wird mit null Euro gefördert

Projektvorschläge zu nachhaltigem Konsum und Globalem Lernen abgelehnt

„Das saarländische Umweltministerium fördert die Aktion 3.Welt Saar mit exakt null Euro in diesem und im letzten Jahr. Unsere Projektvorschläge wurden bisher leider abgelehnt“, so Hans Wolf vom Vorstand der Aktion 3.Welt Saar. „Ich halte diese Klarstellung für nötig, nachdem das Umweltministerium öffentlich erklärt hatte, 76 Verbände, Vereine und sonstige Einrichtungen im Lande, die Entwicklungsprojekte verfolgen, mit 45.000 pro Jahr zu fördern (Saarbrücker Zeitung, 3.9.2010).“

„Für mich ist es nicht nachvollziehbar, warum unser Paket mit Projektvorschlägen zu nachhaltigem Konsum, Globalem Lernen und einer ökologischen Änderung des Verbraucherverhaltens nach sechsmonatiger Prüfung komplett abgelehnt worden ist. Auch eine Chance zum Nachbessern oder zur Reduzierung des Projektumfanges wurde uns nicht eingeräumt“, so Wolf. Bisher erhielt die Aktion 3.Welt Saar einmalig im Jahre 2008 aus dem Umweltministerium 2.000€ für ihre umweltpolitische Bildungsarbeit.

Die „Aktion 3.Welt Saar“ (A3WS) koordiniert und vernetzt zu Themen wie bäuerliche und nachhaltige Landwirtschaft, gentechnikfreies Saatgut und dezentrale Energieproduktion. Sie organisiert Veranstaltungen, stellt Referenten/innen, veröffentlicht ihre Recherchen und initiiert Bündnisse. Ihre Schwerpunkte liegen u.a. im Bereich der entwicklungspolitischen Bildungsarbeit und Umweltbildung. Allerdings äußert sich die Aktion 3.Welt Saar auch explizit politisch. Im Saarland gibt es mit der Aktion 3.Welt Saar und dem Netzwerk Entwicklungspolitik zwei landesweite Einrichtungen, die im Bereich der entwicklungspolitischen Bildungsarbeit vernetzen. Die Situation ist vergleichbar mit der Arbeit des BUND und NABU im Naturschutzbereich.
